The Environment Is Our Responsibility

I tenei ra(today) i roto i(in) ruma tahi during tuhi(writing)time with my kaiako Ms Morrowrankin we were learning about persuasive writing because that was our topic for last week and this week. I would say my favourite thing about persuasive writing is that we can try to persuad the readers into beliveing what we say. Not by force but by choice of words. He mea ngawari ki ahau(I found it easy to) do my research because I had really simple points I was going to use as my reasons. I also found it easy to concentrait on my specific wording because I ignored the distractions around me and focused on my mahi. He uaua ki ahau(I found it hard to) translate my research into descriptive and my own words because the research I had read was quite long and confusing but I found it out in the end and my writing turned out pretty good and I am very proud of it. A muri ake nei ka mahi ahau(Next time I will) try and add more descriptive words and publish my work on my blog faster so that I can finish my fast finisher activites. He tino koa ahau(I really enjoyed) doing my persuasive writing and I can't wait to do another piece of persuasive writing again! Ko te tumanako i pai ki a koe aku mahi(I hope you enjoy)! 😄

Persuasive Poster

 Today in ruma rua with my tuhi [writing] Kaiako Mrs Bava we were doing our very own persuasive posters.

I found it easy to create my draft because I had already planned it out even though I made a few mistakes here and there.

I found it hard to try to come up with the setting of where everything should be placed because on google drawings the page is smaller than a real piece of paper but I managed to fit everything in.

Next time I will make sure to go through and fix more mistakes in my draft copy so that next time i publish I don't have so many mistakes and can get my work done while I'm focused.

Scratch Commenting

I really like scratch because you can get creative and create your own cool games. You have to do coding to make your creation work. If you're new to scratch you can use the tutorials in the corner of your creation that you would have just created. I found it kinda hard to do my coding because I'm not the best at coding but I gave it a try and my little game turned out really good for a starter project. To play my creation you tap the flag on the corner of the screen and they it teaches you a little bit about quality comments and how they work. I really enjoyed creating this with my kaiako Mrs Williams can't wait to use scratch again!😄

Environmental Poem

Today in ruma tahi with my writing kaiako Mrs Bava we were writing environmental poems.

I found it easy to choose what I wanted to right my poem about because I really like flowers and the colour blue because flowers make me happy.

I found it hard to put words down when I was writing my poem because I was finding it difficult to think of some descriptive words.

Next time I will try to make my poems more descriptive.

My Favourite Time Of The Day

 Today in ruma tahi with Mr Barclay we were writing about our favourite time of the day.

I found it easy to get my work done because I was trying my hardest to ignore the person that was distracting me. 

I found it hard to concentrate because the person next to me was singing to loud.

Next time I will try to add more to my writing.

Wild Lab Writing

Today in writing with my kaiako Mrs Bava, we were writing recounts about our Wild Lab trip or the Awapuni School Fun Run.

I found it easy to write my story because I can remember exactly what had happened on the trip. 

I found it hard to go through my writing and find mistakes because I didn't really have many mistakes but I ended up re-crafting instead. 

Next time I will make sure to find more ways to start my paragraph instead of using the basic words.

Quality comments

Today in ruma rua we were learning about Quality comments with with one of my kaiako Mrs Williams because every Wednesday to teach about being cyber smart. I found it easy to write down what I had learnt from quality comments because I made sure to read the instructions to understand what a quality comment was. I found it hard to concentrate because people around me where talking and distracting me.

Matariki Art Animation Mahi

Today in ruma rua we were creating animations to go with our Matariki art mahi.

I found it easy to think of a good story for my Matariki animation because we were researching about the stories of Matariki with my kaiako Mrs Gomm.

I found it hard to remember this story because we done research quit a while ago.

Next time I will try to make my animation a bit better.

Matariki Art Mahi

Today in ruma rua we were making Matariki art projects for our art exhibition.

I found it easy to put my Matariki paragraph in because I have been doing some Matariki writing with my kaiako Mrs Gomm.

I found it hard to do mahi because the others sitting next to me where being distractions.

Next time I will try to make my art a little bit more bigger.

Avatar Creation

Today in Team Toroa we were cooperation with our cooperative groups.
I found it easy to cooperate with my small ropu because we all had a job set for each other during this task.
I found it hard to choose a animal and a element for my Toroa because we couldn't find the right element.
Next time I will lt  try and use different animals and elements.

Matariki Report Writing

Over the past 3 weeks we have been learning about Matariki and report writing.

I found it easy to decorate and make my slide look cool.

I found it hard to write my report because it was quite hard.

Next time I will try to make my writing a little more better.

Quality Blog Comments

Today in Team Toroa we were learning how to create positive, thoughtful and helpful comments! I found it really easy to decorate and make my drawing really pretty. I found it a little hard to come up with something positive, thoughtful and helpful in my comment because I didn't really know what exactly to write. Next time I will try to add more onto my comment.

Buddy Blog tour

Today during manaiakalani me and my class where learning about peoples blogs in our class. I found it easy to post it to my blog. I found it hard to do my scrrencastify with the destractions around me. Next time I will try to add more on my screencastify.

I found it east to make the paper and do the writing.

I found it hard to draw the hands and find the right colour for the table.

Hi my name is Kristie-Lee. Me and my family are from Aotearoa-New Zealand. I live with my aunt, my three cousin’s my one brother and my uncle. I have two sisters and two brothers. I'm good at spelling & reading. I enjoy playing rugby with my friend's. My challengers for this year are getting better with mathematics. And my goal for this year is to win as many games of rugby before I leave the school. What I'm looking forward to this year is finding more time with my friends and playing rugby. Somebody who inspires me as my Dad because he teaches me how to play tackle rugby.

I found it easy to do the first paragraph.

The Big clean Up

The Big Clean up

On Tuesday May 5th, my Aunty, my cousins Gants,

Taughrian,

D'artagnon, my

brother Lucas and I had a huge clean up in

my house!

We all woke up at around about 9:00-9:30. Except for Gants

he woke up around about 10:00. No one liked that he had gotten

up so late but he did and no one could change that. He did take a

very long time to start to clean. Firstly,

he had a shower then he made a smoothie which took

about 5-10 minutes.  I personally know that 10 minutes

is not that long but he really needed to start cleaning.  We were going

to try and finish it before my Uncle Link came back from work.

Shortly after Gants had finished his breakfast

D'artagnon started washing the dishes and putting some

of them in the dishwasher I could hear the

clanking of the

pots and pans. It only took D'artagnan 10 minutes. While

he was washing the dishes my oldest cousin Taughrian

started clearing out underneath the

breakfast bar. Firstly she took all of the containers

out from the shelves, then she wiped

down all the

shelves then handed some containers that were still dirty to

D'artagnon to be washed. Lastly, she sorted the containers

into neat piles.

Meanwhile my cousin Gance started off by cleaning the walls

and the roof on the ladder. At the same time, my brother and my

Aunty started wiping down the cupboards and the whiteboard. While

they were wiping the

cupboards I started wiping down the window in the lounge, which

only took me about 3-5 minutes which isn't that bad.

After doing the windows my brother and I started wiping

down the inside of the kitchen draws.  My brother and I took out all the

draws, then we took everything out of the draws, like cutlery. Lastly

my brother and I vacuumed and wiped them down. 

And that is how my lockdown went!
